Whilst you will be asked to indicate your preferred presentation format (oral or poster) the Conference Committee may request an alternative format be considered.

Presentation Formats

Oral papers will be allocated 15-minutes, with an additional three minutes for question time.

Posters will be displayed on a free standing vertical board for the duration of the conference. Each poster will be allocated a 1 metre wide x 1.5 metre high board and the poster must fit within this area. The boards are covered in material suitable for Velcro hooks; please provide your own Velcro (hook side) to mount your poster on the panel as pins or double sided tape does not work.

A poster session will be held on Wednesday evening and presenters will be required to attend their poster to answer questions from delegates.

Audiovisual Facilities

Presenters should note that PowerPoint and DVD projection are the preferred audiovisual formats. Presenters will need to take their presentation to the conference on a CD-ROM or memory stick. An audiovisual technician will load all presentations onto a central computer.

Speaker Expenses

All presenters are required to pay their own registration, accommodation and travel expenses. The Australian Society for Fish Biology Workshop & Conference 2008 is unable to subsidise registration fees, travel or accommodation costs.
