Supporting Conservation Program for Marine Species into Red List through Cooperative Efforts

The local environment authority is focussing on daily management of the protected area with minimal human and financial resources oriented to conservations programs to restore the marine life that are protected in the area. Through an initiative between local NGOs, the local aquarium “Oceanarium” and the Environment Ministry it is possible to plan programs for restoring populations of reptiles such as Hawksbill seaturtle, fish such as Jaw grouper and the queen conch, all of which are on the national Red list.
